The Corona Virus threat seems to have produced another virus that is almost unmanageable – the panic virus. Just a day or two after the diligent Mayor Magalong announced suspension of classes in the city for preventive measure, alcohols and sanitizers instantly became out of stock within the market. Social media posts revealed a number of market goers purchasing bulk of these products that caused shortage of stocks.
One of the posts I’ve read goes, “Fear, when left unchecked, spreads like a virus, even worse.”
The city government assured to the public their snappy on-going solutions and thorough preventive actions to obliterate worse cases that may happen. They’ve been conducting sanitizing, cleaning and event cancelling to ensure safety among the city’s populace. It’s our turn to take responsibility in following necessary precautions for our own sake and our family’s. There’s one certain reminder that our good Mayor would like to emphasize – discipline. All we really have to do this time is to follow these safety measures laid for us. If we are truly eager to bid farewell to this disease that keeps on impeding things, let’s follow protocols.
Most particularly, this is but the best time to keep trusting the grace and mercy that our Creator promised for us. Let’s keep singing the confidence that we have in Jesus’ name. All things shall come to pass and all will be made well, strengthen your faith.
Keep in mind that He allowed certain circumstances for a perfect reason, and in the end, those who were not swayed by worldly dangers can really taste the true meaning of victory.
Brothers and sisters, no one can ever spare us from the danger of these disasters that surround us, only Jesus. Cling unto our God, our Lord and Savior Who never leaves and forsakes those who believe in Him. If we’ll connect with Him as one city with a united heart, Baguio City will find its way towards the undreamed-of blessings and prosperity. Let’s tangle our hearts together as we celebrate in His faithfulness. Shalom!
